Project status : active
Listening and understanding our sound environment is a process that requires training, and depends on our past experience.
It calls upon the brain’s plasticity, or its capacity to remodel its connections to suit its environment and needs. The mechanisms and consequences of this brain plasticity are far from fully understood.
The project of Doctors Monasson and Léger aims to improve our understanding of the complex processes underlying plasticity in hearing.
