CISIC, the winner of the 2016 Fondation Pour l’Audition “For Today” call for projects, will distribute TCT-6, a telephone retraining tool for adults with hearing loss wearing hearing devices or cochlear implants. This training has been developed by Suzy Dupré, Marion de Bergh and Stéphanie Borel, speech therapists at the adult implant center at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.
TCT-6 is based on a series of six modules, with 54 progressively harder exercises aimed at restoring patient’s confidence in using the phone and providing them with more autonomy in their exchanges with friends, family and colleagues. Thanks to Fondation Pour l’Audition sponsorship, the tool will be sent free of charge to 2,000 speech therapists for the benefit of people with hearing aids or implants.
