Project status: active
Directed by Dr. Aziz El-Amraoui, the “Progressive sensory deficits, pathophysiology and therapy” team conducts research projects aimed at better understanding the origin and mechanisms leading to hearing and sight loss (late and/or progressive) with a view to developing suitable treatment.
In addition to introducing therapeutic approaches (corrective and/or protective) to prevent, slow down, stop or correct deterioration in sight and/or hearing, this team also aims to understand how external factors such as noise, light or age influence the onset, progression and severity of sensory impairment.
