Hearing loss, with its causes and consequences, is poorly understood by the general public. In many people’s minds, it is linked mainly to the diminished capacities that come with aging. Since hearing loss is not physically painful, elderly people rarely see it as a priority for treatment. When younger people are affected, they come up against a taboo that can seriously impact their personal and professional lives.
AGIR POUR L’AUDITION aims to transform these preconceptions into useful information. The rubrics below are intended to provide information on various publications, forums and actions in aid of people with hearing loss, with the objective of making (a little) noise to raise awareness.
