Drs. Jean-Francois Leger and Shihab Shamma, based at the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris (France), are awarded 299.923 Euros for the research project entitled “Cortical Plasticity of Neuronal Ensembles in Auditory Learning and Memory“.
Dr. Didier Dulon and his laboratory “Neurophysiology of the auditory synapse” located at the Pellegrin hospital (University of Bordeaux), are awarded 206.000 Euros for the research project entitled “Deciphering the role of otoferlin and usher proteins at the auditory hair cell ribbon synapse”.
Drs Olivier Deguine, ENT surgeon in the departement d’Oto-Rhino-Laryngologie and Oto-Neurologie in the Purpan hospital in Toulouse, and Pascal Barone, scientist at the Centre de Recherche du Cerveau & Cognition (CNRS UMR 5549) also in Toulouse, collaborate on the research project entitled “Categorization of natural sounds by cochlear-implanted patients” funded 212.850 Euros by AGIR POUR L’AUDITION.
The AGIR POUR L’AUDITION fellowship awarded to Ms. Jeanne Clarke will allow her to conduct her research project in the Mechanics and Acoustics CNRS laboratory (UPR 7051) in Marseilles, France under the supervision of Pr. Olivier Macherey and Dr. Gaston Hilkhuysen.
