Emmanuel Ponsot is conducting his post-doctoral project at the Hearing Technology Lab at Ghent University in Belgium. He is looking to perfect an innovative hearing test.
His objective? To diagnose hidden hearing loss. These pathologies, which cause deficient understanding of speech in noise, cannot, in fact, be identified using standard hearing tests.
